New Track: "Dripping Eyelids" - Creepoid

If your ass is dragging this Monday, then Creepoid's latest single, "Dripping Eyelids" (available for streaming at Brooklyn Vegan), probably isn't going to snap you out of these Monday/post-election blues. But fuck it! Who feels like working these days anyways? The band is getting set to release its new four-song EP Burner (WavePOP Records), and you can party down with the gang this Friday, November 25 at the group's favorite "clubhouse" Kung Fu Necktie. Bring weed!

Norwegian Arms drop single 'Find Truth' + announce new LP

Find Truth” is the latest single from NorwegianArms, the musical outlet for polymath Keith Birthday, a man constantly in motion between Philly and NYC, and who also called Siberia home. All of these places, as well as the experiences and emotions in them, have served as inspiration for the upcoming LP, Girard Freeloader. In preview single "Find Truth," darkness bubbles in simple synth riffs as sparse drums reverberate behind soft vocals, singing about the fears of aging, searching for truth, and lonely despair. Philly-bound? Catch Norwegian Arms at Johnny Brenda’s on December 15. Otherwise, look out for news about a release date for “Find Truth” as well as tour dates at venues near you. – Will Sisskind

Suburban Living Record Release Show at Everybody Hits Nov. 17

Lofted among the celestial bodies of introspection, the dreampop of Suburban Living cultivates a peaceful albeit reflective air. Tonight, swim among the smooth, steadily-rising waves of melodic guitars and synth as the band celebrates their latest album Almost Paradise (available via 6131 Records). While the musical ride maintains a cruising, backend-anchored movement, scorching layers of shoegazing persist below the surface. Merging 60’s garage-pop with a psych spin, the quartet of Louie Louie inject a gritty dose of urgency into their femme fatale aesthetic. Leading off the proceedings at Everybody Hits, the creative collaboration between Attia Taylor & Corey Duncan (Oh Pears), a.k.a. Strange Parts, has recently released a new EP Rainier Bedstuy Home Recording. The collection of songs embodies a bare-bones instrumental framework; however, that lo-fi atmosphere allows the natural glow of their innately warm vocals to shine through. Everybody Hits, 529 W. Bianca Muñiz unveils video for "Scary Dreams" + plays at Terra Firma on 12/2

Bianca Muñiz is a NYC songwriter that has just released her new EP, “Scary Dreams” and a music video which artfully projects the eerie title track. In this video we observe Bianca in the midst of her nightmare, tossing and turning restlessly, while dreaming of running down a lonesome path consumed by darkness. Tense, at times dissonant jazzy and noise-rock elements, and unpredictable, nervous rhythms swallow the dulcet tone of Bianca’s voice, which bellows in the chorus and simmers down into a low, fearful croak at its end. If you enjoy the thrill, come down to Brooklyn’s Terra Firma on Friday, December 2nd and experience Bianca live. - Ashley Muniz
