Miniature Tigers return with single 'Dreaming' - new LP out on 10.22

We always have a special place in our heart for the bands that were rewarded with the NYC Record of the Month, and Miniature Tigers (a band currently split between NYC, LA and Arizona) is one of them. The quirky synth pop quartet just unveiled this new single entitled 'Dreaming,' from their upcoming full length 'I Dreamt I Was A Cowboy,' due out October 28th. We are glad to report that the quirkiness hasn't abandoned them, but was actually taken to the next level, with a track that incorporates elements of 8 bit music, ondulating analog synths, and fluid melodies that contrast with the angular nature of the arrangement. If this is a dream, it's of the bizarre variety. The band will be in NYC at Sunnyvale on December 22nd.

High Bias officially drops on October 14 via Drag City, but you can now stream the record in its entirety below via NPR Music's First Listen. The power trio will also be tearing things up in Philly at Johnny Brenda's on Sunday, October 30, along with Honey Radar and DC's Hothead. (Photo by Colin McLaughlin)

Premiere: Crushed Out's latest music video "Out of the Blue"

NYC-based husband/wife team, Crushed Out, is back at it again, and The Deli is thrilled to premiere the duo's newest music video, "Out of the Blue." The video spotlights the band's super fun, assuredly trippy aesthetic, and the tune alternates heavy, bluesy riffs with the group's signature surf rock hooks--making "Out of the Blue" feel ambiguous in decade, but instantly infectious. Check out the premiere of "Out of the Blue" below, and if you're hungry for more, listen to Crush Out's soundcloud here.-Olivia Sisinni

Ghost of Jupiter to release new album 10/21 at Lizard Lounge

MA-based Ghosts of Jupiter blend beautifully etheral vocals with swirling guitars and strong synths to creating a powerful psychedellic potion. The band, who are set to drop a new album this month, effortlessly span a liminal time place--sounding distinctively like a vintage record store pickup, without falling into psych-band tropes that are long tired out. Check out Ghosts of Jupiter 10/23 at the Lizard Lounge to pick up a copy of their latest release, The Great Bright Horses, but in the meantime you can stream their first single off the album below.-Olivia Sisinni
